We’re partnering with a well-known multinational FMCG organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Kronos Functional Consultant to support the configuration, optimisation, and integration of their UKG Pro Workforce Management (Kronos) system. Reporting into the Head of IT Oceania and embedded within the payroll function, this role offers end-to-end visibility across IT and payroll operations with an opportunity to shape the ongoing payroll systems roadmap.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract with strong potential for extension or permanency.
The Opportunity
As the Kronos Functional Consultant, you’ll serve as the systems SME for all things Kronos, managing both BAU and project-based support while acting as a bridge between business and technology. You’ll play a key role in systems configuration, data integrity, vendor engagement, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring workforce and payroll operations run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with legislation.
This role also offers the chance to broaden your systems knowledge, with the opportunity to work across additional platforms such as iChris and SuccessFactors. While prior experience with these is beneficial, a willingness to learn and support them is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the configuration and administration of Kronos (UKG Pro WFM), including pay codes, user profiles, super, deductions, and oncost structures

Coordinate roadmap planning and manage project/enhancement prioritisation

Work closely with vendors for upgrades, issue resolution, and roadmap alignment

Design and implement system integrations, automations, and enhancements in collaboration with P&C and Payroll teams

Conduct data audits, reconciliations, and system compliance checks

Deliver user training, technical documentation, and troubleshooting support

Monitor legislative and compliance changes, ensuring the system remains up-to-date

Partner with audit teams to review security, access, and payroll controls

Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on functional requirements and process improvement

Collaborate with the broader team to support and learn other systems such as iChris and SuccessFactors
What You Will Bring

10+ years’ experience in payroll systems, workforce management, or HRIS support
-
Strong hands-on experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management / Kronos (essential)

Exposure to iChris or SuccessFactors highly regarded

Interest and willingness to learn and support additional HR/payroll platforms

Experience supporting enterprise-scale payroll operations and high-volume environments

Solid knowledge of payroll compliance and reporting requirements in Australia

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to manage competing priorities and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
