Are you a strategic cybersecurity leader ready to make a meaningful impact across one of Australia’s most diverse health, beauty, and wellness portfolios? We’re looking for a Security Operations Manager to join our clients team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, leading critical security functions across a dynamic and growing organisation.

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the Security Operations and Security Teams, ensuring our digital infrastructure is resilient, compliant, and aligned with our broader security strategy. You’ll be responsible for incident response coordination, security technology oversight, and embedding a culture of security awareness across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Security Operations and Security teams within the Technology Group.
  • Oversee the operating efficiency of the Security Operations Centre, driving continuous improvement in detection and response capabilities.
  • Coordinate security incidents across the organisation, acting as the escalation point for complex and high-impact events.
  • Manage and conduct incident response drills and assessments to ensure preparedness for a variety of security threats.
  • Foster collaboration between IT teams to integrate security best practices into operational workflows.
  • Champion the importance of security awareness, embedding it into the organisation’s culture and strategic planning.
  • Integrate security best practices across projects and technology operations.
  • Support and ensure remediation of internal and external audit findings.
  • Advise stakeholders on security risks, trends, and solutions to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and contract compliance.
  • Support compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, and other applicable frameworks.
  • Provide on-call support for urgent or critical incident response activities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Several years’ experience in Security Operations or a closely related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline (Essential).
  • Hands-on experience with risk management and frameworks such as ISO 27000 and NIST CSF.
  • Strong expertise in promoting security awareness and embedding it into business strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of security principles, controls, and technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage security incidents and lead effective response efforts.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and budget management skills.
  • Professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) (Highly Desirable).
  • Master’s Degree in a related field (Desirable).
