We’re partnering with a well-recognised multinational FMCG organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Systems Specialist to support the configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of their iChris payroll system. Sitting within the broader payroll team and reporting into IT, you’ll play a key role in ensuring system performance, compliance, and efficiency across their Australian operations.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract with the potential to convert to permanent.

The Opportunity

As an iChris Systems Specialist, you’ll combine strong payroll system knowledge with a technical mindset to deliver system enhancements, streamline operations, and support a high-volume payroll environment. This role is embedded within the payroll team, offering visibility across business and IT functions and a collaborative, supportive culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Configuring and maintaining the iChris payroll system, including user profiles, pay codes, deductions, and super
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll data through regular audits, reconciliations, and data validation
  • Supporting system upgrades, version control, and compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • Developing and delivering user documentation, training, and support
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors to design and implement integrations and automation
  • Conducting periodic reviews of payroll controls and security in partnership with audit teams
  • Recommending and implementing continuous improvements and policy updates

What You will Bring

  • 8+ years’ experience in payroll administration, payroll systems, or HRIS support
  • Strong hands-on experience with iChris payroll (essential)
  • Exposure to Kronos/UKG highly regarded
  • Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and support non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and confident managing multiple workstreams across BAU and projects
